Anxiety

Anxiety is a funny thing. I think it plays with us from time to time. It produces a chemical in our body that creates unrest, hopelessness and frustration that something is just not right. We can’t put our finger on it, but all day long it nags at us like a little brother who keeps poking you in the ribs. Sometimes it’s brought on by a sleepless night, sleeping too much, food…or nothing at all. For me, it’s easier to take if there is actually something wrong then I have a definitive answer as to why my body has the adrenaline and racing heartbeat. It’s when I don’t know that bothers me. Today is one of those days. I had a hazelnut coffee drink last night before I went to bed and it has caffeine in it. It is so good and so warm and very soothing at the time you drink it. I’m guessing that is what caused my anxiety today. I have to put a picture with the feeling in order to calm down and put it in perspective. I hope you aren’t having that kind of day today. Anxiety is playing with me today, but no more hazelnut drinks for me tonight. Instead, I will go home, go outside, breath in the air, touch mother earth and thank the universe for yet another day, even if it wasn’t the best. Peace…
